All of us were once lost. Not only did Christ leave the 99 to come look for us, he welcomed us back and threw a party for those who repented and came home. We are also supposed to seek the lost. We're also supposed to welcome them. We're also supposed to celebrate when they turn to Christ. We are called TOWARD living and loving like Christ and AWAY from living and grumbling like a Pharisee. Our posture towards the lost should be to look for them, go to them, and love them back to Jesus.

Application:
When we no longer care about seeking and saving the lost, we're at risk of becoming a Pharisee—the ones who "think they've got it figured out". We were once lost and have been rescued by Christ's love. Our view of the lost and the marginalized needs to be more like Christ's, for that is why He came.
